AGvocate

Have you ever wondered how decisions are made regarding the agriculture industry in Louisiana? Would you like to be part of that decision-making? AGvocate is a one-day conference that brings experts in Louisiana agriculture face-to-face with members to engage them in the advocacy process.

Capitol Day

Louisiana FFA members are given the opportunity to see state government in action on Capitol Day, a one-day event each year held at the state capitol in Baton Rouge. The morning begins with FFA members visiting the State Capitol building and observing Legislative  committees and meeting with their respective state senators and representatives. A luncheon is held at the Capitol Park Welcome Center, which is within walking distance of the state capitol. During the luncheon, government officials speak and FFA members have an opportunity to thank their leaders for their support of FFA and  agricultural education. The day concludes as FFA is introduced to the Louisiana House of Representatives and Senate during the opening of the regular session.

You can find your  Senator and Representative here.
